With 2020 a thing of the past, resolutions for the year ahead come to mind. We tallied up some of the Nodifi team’s 2021 New Year resolutions.

Here’s what they had to say:

Name: Elliot Bloem
Position at Nodifi: Head of Support

What’s your New Year’s resolution for 2021?
“I’d like to save some money for a house deposit. Buying property is on the horizon – and it has been for a while. 2020 was a bit shaky but I’m hoping 2021 offers some more stability.”

Why?
“To buy a house – I’ve got a lot of cool DIY plans too!”

Tell us about one standout event in 2020
“Having the opportunity to step up into a management role. I was made Head of Support in mid 2020, that was really exciting and a great milestone.”

Name: Zoe Calderbank
Position at Nodifi: Settlements Officer

What’s your New Year’s resolution for 2021?
“I’d like to revamp my diet, I want to have a healthy 2021.”

Why?
“I spent a lot on Uber Eats in 2020 so a healthier diet would also be a healthier bank account.”

Tell us about one standout event in 2020
“I bought my Mazda, that was pretty cool!”

Name: Andre D’Costa
Position at Nodifi: Marketing Specialist

What’s your New Year’s resolution for 2021?
“I’d like to develop a more healthy lifestyle for eating, exercise and sleeping – especially sleeping!”

Why?
“I hope to burn off my lockdown kilos.”

Tell us about one standout event in 2020
“I moved into my new home in April 2020, that was an exciting event.”

Name: Chris Sims
Position at Nodifi: Chief Product Officer

What’s your New Year’s resolution for 2021?
“Improve my skate-boarding skills and help my 6-year old get confident at the skatepark! I want to share something active with him.”

Why?
“To support my young lad with learning new skills.”

Tell us about one standout event in 2020
“Seeing the first working demos of the new Nodifi Platform was a real standout! It’s due to be released to the public in early 2021 – it’s been three years in the making. Seeing it come to life was an exciting moment!”

Name: Alex Bodriagin
Position at Nodifi: National Sales Manager

What’s your New Year’s resolution for 2021?
“Get back outdoors as much as possible in order to make up for lost time during the lockdown – which felt like most of the year in Victoria!”

Why?
“Shake off ‘COVID Cabin Fever’ & the ‘COVID Kilos’.”

Tell us about one standout event in 2020
“Being welcomed into the Nodifi family would definitely be the highlight of the year, it’s a great team to be part of.”

Name: Marijoyce Perona
Position at Nodifi: SEO Strategist

What’s your New Year’s resolution for 2021?
“Avoid impulse buying and hoarding”

Why?
“I have bought so many things this year that either got wasted or still remain unused. I guess it was fun during the lockdown but with that ending, so is my impulse buying!”

Tell us about one standout event in 2020:
“This year, I had a minor accident and fractured my foot. Now, I’ve learned how to appreciate what I can do with two good feet and this incident will be a constant reminder for me to be extra careful next time.”

Name: Peter Holman
Position at Nodifi: Head of Partnerships

What’s your New Year’s resolution for 2021?
“Take my trip to Las Vegas – well, if COVID allows it!”

Why?
“2021 marks my 50th along with 8 other friends of mine. We’re planning a big trip.”

Tell us about one standout event in 2020:
“Coaching my soccer team to victory – this year, we won! It was a great moment and really lifted everyone’s spirits.”

Name: Alex Ventura
Position at Nodifi: Digital Marketing Specialist

What’s your New Year’s resolution for 2021?
“To take more holidays – that’s basically it!”

Why?
“It’s taken COVID to realise just how many hidden gems Australia has to explore. I’d love to visit more especially those close to home.”

Tell us about one standout event in 2020
“In an era where positives in the world are rarely seen, it was reassuring to see kindness and resilience in our local communities. It’s provided that glimmer of hope and a positive outlook for 2021.”

Name: Ahrielle Weston
Position at Nodifi: Settlements Officer

What’s your New Year’s resolution for 2021?
“That would be to travel throughout the country more – get into the outback and also go where I can explore new places.”

Why?
“I want to find out about and experience more of my country. Australia has some amazing places – they’re calling me!”

Tell us about one standout event in 2020
“The best part of 2020 for me was realising just how strong friendships can be when you’re unable to actually see each other for months at a time.”

Name: Julian Richards
Position at Nodifi: Digital Marketing Specialist

What’s your New Year’s resolution for 2021?
“To save for a deposit for a house and possibly buy another hobby car”

Why?
“Buying a house and then having somewhere to store and work on a hobby car has always been a ‘to do’ of mine since returning to Australia from overseas in 2019.”

Tell us about one standout event in 2020
“Joining the Nodifi marketing team [in early 2020]. I really like the long creative tether and language-based crux of the job.”

Name: Vanessa Harding
Position at Nodifi: HR Manager

What’s your New Year’s Resolution for 2021?
“To complete the C-2-5km running programme. The [Couch to 5km] plan will really help me achieve my fitness goals next year.”

Why?
“Fitness! In a nutshell. After lockdown inactivity, I think fitness is an awesome resolution.”

Tell us about one standout event in 2020
“It was the year I had to have – a full-life overhaul. In other words, getting through 2020 was the standout for me.”

Name: Tim Wells
Position at Nodifi: head of Customer Experience

What’s your New Year’s Resolution for 2021?
“To live a healthier life which involves exercising twice a week, and taking the dog for 2 walks per week.”

Why?
“Because every other year I’ve said “I want to get fit” but it’s something you can’t really measure or be accountable for. So setting a number per week of things to do, I can be accountable to myself.”

Standout Event:
“Not really just one event – but watching my son grow up. He turned 1 in April and is going through some really fun times at the moment!”

Name: Jordan Mutton
Position at Nodifi: General Manager

What’s your New Year’s resolution for 2021?
“Get overseas! I’d been planning a trip abroad back in 2019 but had to postpone due to the pandemic. Oh, also to get a COVID vaccine when they become available in Australia!”

Why?
“I haven’t been overseas for several years – it’s been too long and I’ve always had the travel bug!”

Tell us about one standout event in 2020
“I bought a family home. I’m really happy with it and love doing DIY – Bunnings loves it too!”

Name: Tom Caesar
Position at Nodifi: CEO

What’s your New Year’s resolution for 2021?
“I’d like to see Nodifi establish itself as market leader by going the extra mile. I’m a big fan of offering more than we have to – our partners deserve it. Furthermore, I want our team to continue operating in a stable and supportive environment.

On a personal note, I’m getting married in January, 2021. I want that to be a magical start to the year too.”

Why?
“With the end of the pandemic (seemingly) in sight, I’m confident that Nodifi is poised to achieve a successful 2021. Our partners and team have worked hard and that’s proven in the numbers at the end of 2020 – that being said, 2021 looks bright.”

Tell us about one standout event in 2020
“Our fast recovery from the effects of COVID. I was stunned by just how quickly we and the industry rebounded in June – this was backed up with a strong September, October and especially November. That also says a lot for Australia and its economy too.”

Onwards and Upwards

2020 has proven (among other things) that flexibility and resilience go a long way. Judging by the big future plans for the Nodifi platform and recent months of strong numbers, the team is optimistic and enthusiastic about helping our partners grow.
