Its FY 2021-22 business plan noted a strategic approach to target the new business segment, while initiatives were also in place to continue growth in mortgage broker and automotive dealership acquisitions.

Nodifi currently supports in excess of 1,000 mortgage brokers and automotive dealerships across Australia.

The fintech claims its expansive experience supporting the automotive industry – both from a consumer and commercial perspective – places the business in a strong position to support the heavy vehicle sector.

Nodifi head of partnerships, Peter Holman, says the business is excited at the new opportunity, with the team equipped to tackle the new venture.

“We have been supporting brokers to secure truck finance for their respective clients for years, so for the team, this is nothing new.

“However, we understand that there needs to be a more formal, bespoke offering for the heavy vehicle industry, which is why we have implemented new processes and products to cater for this new sector.”

Set to take the reins of the new market is experienced automotive executive, Alex Bodriagin, following a stellar 12 months since joining Nodifi, as the national sales manager.

Mr Bodriagin has been instrumental in spearheading business growth, largely responsible for the 37% increase of automotive dealer acquisitions, in FY 2020-21.

Alex Bodriagin, commented: “We see a great opportunity to positively impact the heavy vehicle industry, strategising and implementing the necessary asset finance systems with prospective businesses, to provide a seamless and positive experience for their clients.

“At the end of the day, our goal is to improve business processes for our partners which in turn, helps increase finance penetration and above all else, secure the sale.

“I currently support several automotive dealerships with truck finance needs that arise from time to time, so I have become accustomed to the quirks of heavy vehicle finance.”

Nodifi has kicked off its new focus by joining forces with Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia (HVIA) – HVIA represents and advances the interests of manufacturers and suppliers of heavy vehicles and their components, equipment and technology.
